Brother John & the Lonely Roads is less a band and more an ongoing musical gamble between frontman Brother John (otherwise known as Caleb John Lawson: local singer, guitar player, banjo picker, and primary instigator) and whichever musicians he can wrangle into playing with him. He draws his musical influence from classic country; soul, gospel, and Motown; old-time folk music; and the hymnals he grew up singing from.
