On March 19, Beyoncé took to Instagram to announce the 10-day countdown to the release of her highly anticipated country album, “Act II: Cowboy Carter.” In the announcement, she also revealed the personal reasons behind her full-length foray into country music.“This album has been over five years in the making,” she wrote. “It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t.”
