Steven Gellman is a quintessential folk singer-songwriter. With a songwriting style that is both "intensely sensitive and impressively intelligent at the same time,” Billboard Magazine called for adding “Gellman’s name to the growing list of out-queer tunesmiths who are making waves along the coffeehouse circuit.” His debut album, Photobook (1997), was nominated by the Gay/Lesbian American Music Awards (GLAMA) for Debut Album of the Year. Now, with 9 indie releases to his name, Gellman continues his passion for writing songs that tell stories of everyday life wrapped in notes that will have you humming along. In 2022, Gellman was a Wammie Award finalist for best folk artist, best folk album (Cold Harbor), and best folk song (The Ocean).
